The Oyako Story
Translated literally, oyako means “mother and child.”
Oyako Ltd. is owned and operated by Vicki Yamagami-Ragasa and her daughter, Jaime Ragasa-Hittelman.
An award winning designer (earning the coveted Bambi award for Collegian Sports), Vicki has been designing clothes for over 30 years. A winning attitude with the average woman in mind, Vicki’s goal is to make every woman look and feel special.
Daughter Jaime brings her own fresh energy and innovational creativity. Her exceptional talents that landed her the position of Wardrobe Assistant to Michael Bush on Michael Jackson’s 1997-98 History World Tour.
This very special mother and daughter team effort results in the unique fashions borne from Oyako. Jaime’s youthful energy, coupled with the solid experience from her mom, make a winning team as they claim their place in the exciting world of fashion.
Their garments have been presented at museums, galleries and special functions, many of which are donated as incentive gifts for philanthropical events.
In business since 1999, Oyako has a faithful following of customers who are familiar with their exceptional fit and high quality workmanship. You will not find these garments in retail department stores.
